About us

We joined forces doing work we loved — helping find families for children in orphanages and foster care at Kidsave, where Terry was co-founder and president and Lauren directed communications. Our working relationship clicked and lasted after Terry semi-retired and Lauren moved on to pursue her next career phase. In spring 2025, seeking to add something positive to the world, we joined forces. Together we share a value that life and business is better when you work for social good. Now, the millennial and baby boomer are teaming up to share their insights and help others discover fulfilling careers and make life choices that brighten their lives and the world around them. Together, we're empowering people to contribute to the greater good. We guide clients through institutional formalities, alert them to relevant trends and technology, and help them think through their careers and marketing challenges, as well as what the future holds.

What we offer

Shift Assessment

Every partnership begins with a complimentary 20-minute conversation. This is our chance to learn about you, understand the goals you want to accomplish, and make sure our work together is the right fit. While our paid sessions usually run 45 to 60 minutes, this introductory meeting gives us space to explore your direction, identify challenges, and outline the best next steps with us.

The Nitty Shifty

This is where we shift from conversation to action. Together we'll look at what is blocking your progress, test ideas for reality and impact, uncover breakthrough approaches to taking your next steps and create a plan that will move you toward your biggest goals.

Deeper Shift

This series of sessions is designed for anyone stepping into a major transition or pursuing significant long-term goals. We work with you to clarify your purpose, align your values, and map out a path that supports the life, work, and impact you want to create. Whether you are shifting your career, building something new, or redefining what success looks like, this track supports deep, sustainable growth and forward movement.

One Off Shifts

Sometimes you simply need a single, focused check-in. One Off Shifts offer a stand-alone session where you can get clarity, support, or guidance on whatever is most pressing. Use this time to refine an idea, troubleshoot a challenge, confirm a direction, or regain momentum. It is a quick, practical boost when you need insight without committing to an ongoing series.

Terry Baugh

Terry is a certified life coach and seasoned executive, serial entrepreneur, and practitioner of marketing and communications for social good. She has worked both in the U.S. and abroad, supporting U.S.-based and global organizations. An expert in startups, social impact initiatives, marketing, communications, and fundraising, Terry co-founded Kidsave and co-led it for 20 years. Before that, she ran T. Baugh & Company, a boutique marketing and communications firm, and served as Senior Vice President at Porter Novelli. Her career began in Washington, D.C., where she learned the ropes on Capitol Hill.

Over the years, Terry has honed her expertise in market research, development, and management. She understands the challenges faced by both nonprofit and for-profit organizations and has a proven ability to identify what’s missing or needed to move new or stalled ventures forward. Her leadership experience, particularly in the nonprofit sector, has sharpened her ability to find creative ways to generate revenue and sustain organizations through difficult times.

Outside of work, Terry enjoys exploring new places in an RV named Ruby, yoga, weightlifting, her puppy, friends, children, and grandchildren.

Lauren Davis

Lauren is a communications strategist with over twelve years of experience in leading digital campaigns and creating impactful advocacy messaging for well-known nonprofit organizations. She loves working with C-suite leaders to develop thought leadership platforms, refine messaging, and enhance organizational voice. With expertise in social media, video production, email marketing, and executive communications, she's a pro at turning complex ideas into clear and engaging messages.

Lauren is truly passionate about helping people as they embark on significant changes in their lives. She provides practical insights, honest feedback, and a sense of accountability to support their journey.

Lauren earned her master’s degree in Journalism from the Medill School at Northwestern University and is also proud to be an HBCU graduate, holding a bachelor’s degree in Communications and English Professional Writing from Oakwood University.

When she's not working, you can find Lauren on an adventure, trying new restaurants in the DMV area and enjoying quality time with friends and family.
